Networking is funny. You just never know what will happen when you are open for meeting new people, sharing ideas and thoughts.
First branding companies I contacted after moving to Cardiff was Sequence. I saw lots of great design, images, photos, applications on their webpages so I decided to contact them If they might need any new approach with images to their clients. I got a respond back from this unbelievable friendly and nice woman Sarah (SHE HAS MET THE QUEEN!), who liked my images. She was also the main organiser of Creative Morning Cardiff event, so she asked If I would like to come over to one of the meetings, meet people from Sequence over there and also maybe take some photos of the event.
Well .. I just couldn’t miss this opportunity for free breakfast and a keynote lecture, while taking some images of the event, so I went there. Creative Morning Cardiff event is held once a month in Founders Hub, right in the centre of Cardiff. Excellent breakfast, inspiring keynote speech from Mark Young about fear, lots of cool creative people.
I took my portfolios with me to show my work and I think people liked what they were seeing .. something bit different.
After the Creative Morning we have been keeping in touch with Sarah and Sequence, went to see their new cool workplace at Cardiff Bay, and hopefully in the future I can create some mind-blowing images for them and their clients.
But then funny thing happened 😀 Sarah asked me if I would like to be next months Creative Morninng speaker, the theme was COLOR and I said Yes. So here I am now making my presentation ready for the Next month Creative morning Cardiff at Founders Hub, talking about colour and tones in images. I have some cool ideas about that definitely in my pocket 😀
I will add some images i took from the first meeting I went .. It will be pretty funny to get up there and be the keynote speaker my self 😀
So, lets keep networking with #sharingiscaring always on our minds!
