Working with various creative professionals has been an honor for me. In particular, Juho Ojala, AD/Concept Designer at Avidly, is one person I find truly seamless and inspiring to work with. Marketing agency Avidly was tasked with creating the launch materials for the new Valio Aimo online store, for which Avidly’s team developed a unique concept, concept images, and sketches that served as the basis for the image implementation and ideas. Based on the first impression, I knew that we had a great but challenging project ahead of us.

The goal was to produce three story-driven images for the Valio Aimo online store, depicting the challenges faced by food service professionals with ordering systems and showing how the new Valio Aimo online store eliminates these barriers. The core idea of the campaign was based on how the last thing a busy kitchen professional needs is surprises that slow down their work. The idea of the campaign was to humorously dramatize these unpleasant surprises that the new Valio Aimo online store helps to avoid.

The AI image production process is similar to the traditional image production process in many ways. First, an idea needs to be developed, and then it needs to be moved on to sketching images. Styling and location selection are important, as is the selection of suitable models. Fortunately, all of this can also be done with AI tools.

This project again required a wide range of expertise, of course, knowing the possibilities and limitations of different AI software. A way had to be found to implement the right kind of characters operating in specific environments, and the images had to be high-resolution enough for a variety of uses – from web to mobile to print media.

During the project, I used several AI software such as Dalle-3, Midjourney, and StableDiffusion. Dalle and Midjourney were mainly used as ideation aids, while StableDiffusion helped to finalize the images into their final form. StableDiffusion always gives me the control I need to create images, and there is no need to compromise.

Finally, after a step-by-step development process, we achieved images that exceeded even our expectations. Here are the finished images and 100% details. Also included are a few images with ad copy.
