It is all about Teamwork

I am really privileged to know many talented people around me. Creating amazing images is a combination of small important elements coming together. And different people you trust with different talents is definitely really important.

Weather you are creating images from your artist friend miniatures or taking pictures of a model styled with selected theme, it is those little things that brings the best out of every image. It is a Teamwork .. where I am only a small part with my ideas, camera and post production. And I definitely want to emphasise the fact that I need these people around me.

This time I really want to focus on models and people doing hair and makeup. When you have a model that has been styled to the perfection my work is really easy. Together with these trusted models or hair & makeup people it is easy to throw new ideas for concepts in the air and you know that you will be creating something totally special and unique.

I usually create mood boards about the styling and makeup to pinterest and send those to my models or muah’s (Makeup and Hair). They will also get a ideas what kind of image Im planning to create and they start to work from their point of view. And usually Im just mindblown what they create from those ideas and concepts.

Here are few concepts and images I have created with super talented Saija Sasetar.

These are taken in my Workshops where I have invited Saija to be my model. Saija is a supertalented hobbyist model and stylist that can create amazing concepts from my ideas and mood boards. She is like a chameleont, she can turn into anything I want as you can see from these examples in the end of this article. She already knows what kind of images Im capable creating so she can go really wild with the ideas. I give her a reference and the main idea, and she creates always something even better than I expect.

Lot of credits goes also to bardjester.com where some of the amazing steampunk pieces etc. are from for these photoshoots.

It is this co-operation and trust of each other that brings things to life.

Surround yourself with other talented people and work with them .. You will be amazed what you can create with other people. Be active to contact people and share all your knowledge with them and absorb all the things you can from them. Give credit every single people from assistant to models when you are doing projects .. they deserve it and you are always just a part of that sum. Together we are more! Always!

Spot on Antti… I recall something that Matthew Jordan Smith said in an online class

    T E A M = Together Each Achieves More

It’s a great way to think and work
