When your favorite stylist / MUAH Laura turns 30 and she asks if I want to make a photoshoot with her, I think the clear answer is HELL YEA!! So we started planning this bit flamboyant photoshoot with gold, glitter and confetti explosions. I wanted also to use some colored gel filters to bring some depth to the image. Laura came to the studio to decorate a part of our studio with all kind of gold stuff and when we were ready we started shooting.
You can see the light setup I used most of the time. The main flash was Elinchrom 44 with a grid. I filled the shadows using a blueish-green filter to fill the shadows with cooler tones shooting that to a white lastolite reflector, and then the separation flash with an orange filter using a silver reflective umbrella.
In the following video, you can see our amazing photoshoot (thank you Juho for assisting in the photoshoot) with some speed retouching of one of the images. You can learn this process by checking my new Digital Artist Master Class -> http://www.aliasedu.com
