I have always loved movie posters and teaching photography and retouching. Now I started to combine both as I started a new section on my Youtube -channel where I teach people how to re-create certain iconic movie posters in Photoshop. I'm using stock images to create my replications and try to find matching images in my final images.
For almost every project I try to deliver also some extra content whether it is a blog, Youtube video, tutorial or bts (behind the scenes) material. You might ask why I spend so much time on creating these contents? For me creating content around my work is definitely one of my most important marketing things I do.
I decided to save only my Dodge & Burn layer to show what goes on in that layer. So as you can see, I re-paint the image with light and shadows on that layer bringing contouring and depth to my images.
I love creating images with plenty of story and I need to use certain techiques to get the light the way I want. On location I usually use limited gear, usually two Einchrom ELB400 which I use to create interesting light to the subjects and the enviroment.
First ever Fantasy Art workshop was organized in Finland. The goal of the workshop was to help each of the photographers individually to realise their vision by extending their skillset and lending my support on the techniques and creative process.
